Birmingham Airport (BHX, EGBB) has had a lot of bad press recently about security queues.
Unfortunately a lot of this is self inflicted.
Forcing everyone to go up in lifts following the security area rebuild rather than the original multiple escalators was always going to be a bottleneck.
They seem to have admitted this as they have opened some stairs up.
All in all it is a shambles and despite the fact I only live abut 12 miles from BHX I’m currently avoiding it for departures. (My last flight to ZRH was back into BHX but I flew out of LCY)
